Caspar ISENMANN, the "Master"

Caspar ISENMANN been born in Colmar ca 1430, dead in 1484, passes to have been the master of Martin SCHONGAUER. He achieved, in 1462, the high altar of the collegiate Saint - Martin, dedicated to the cycle of the Passion. In 1720, the retable had collapsed and had never been put back in place. The pieces are preserved to the museum of Unterlinden. |
