Guy ROUX, the Coach
 Guy ROUX, son of Marcel ROUX (Officer in the 152e Colmar infantry regiment) and Alice LORY (daughter of a dealer in vegetables from Colmar) was born in Colmar on October 18, 1938. |
During his childhood, he lived in Colmar by friends and he attended the small team of the Club of Football of Sports Réunis de Colmar (SRC). First player amateur to Auxerre and Limoges from 1954 to 1961, he began his long career of football coach in 1961 It is the French coach involved in the biggest number of meetings of 1st Division (more than 890 match). As a coach, he is one of the record of number of Wins and participated in 91 meetings of Europe Cup. He established a reputation for rigorous management of its budget and its staff and to its paternalism. |
